Title:  Dragons of Light

Artist:   Larry Elmore

The sketch on the bottom left is the first version of this scene.  Elmore had to abandon the original idea because it contained too many characters to paint in the time he had available.

Elmore's second sketch originally featured Silvara and Flint.  The dwarf was replaced by Gilthanas, to showcase the tragic love theme developing between the two and symbolizing the love between Huma and the Silver Dragon.

Elmore painted this before the episode was written in the text.  Hence this scene takes place during the summer, while the version in the book took place in the winter.
